How can I take care of my eyes regularly?


You cannot talk about health and well-being without healthy eyes. Meanwhile, you need to take care of your regularly to keep them healthy and in the best condition. Several factors contribute to eye health, ranging from diet to rest, family history, eye diseases, and lots more. In addition to getting your eyes examined by an optometrist, here are other things you must do to take proper care of your eyes. Here are ways to care for your eyes regularly.

1. Regular Eye Examination and Tests

One of the most effective ways of taking care of your eyes regularly is to have your eyesight regularly tested and examined by an experienced optometrist. It is recommended that everyone gets their eyes tested at least once every 6 months.

Eye examinations and tests are the only way to detect any defects or eye disease to their early stages.

Some of the eye tests that may be recommended include dilation test, visual acuity test, visual field test, and tonometry that measures the eye’s interior pressure, which detects glaucoma. 3. Live Healthily

First, maintain a healthy weight, as obesity can increase the chances of developing Diabetes Mellitus which can cause glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy.
